Valentina Kozlova Dance Conservatory of New York is dedicated to providing the highest level of ballet and contemporary dance instruction to both pre-professional and primary students, preparing them for a professional career in dance.
The school was founded in 2003 by Valentina Kozlova. Ms. Kozlova, former Principal Dancer with the Bolshoi Ballet and New York City Ballet, and her faculty, train aspiring ballet dancers in the Vaganova Method.
VKDCNY stylistic philosophy is based on traditional Russian technique, flavored with American idiom. Classes are demanding while maintaining a friendly and intimate atmosphere. In addition to teaching the Vaganova classical technique, VKDCNY strives to develop accomplished, artistic dancers who are encouraged to perform.
Several VKDCNY students have been recognized at major international and domestic dance competitions all around the world including, but not limited to, International Ballet Competition-Varna, USA-International Ballet Competition, Youth America Grand Prix and Orlando World Ballet Competition.
